August '08 Mission Trip

Lacey Aschbrenner, Sherry Aschbrenner, and Kathleen Hendricks sponsored a youth work trip in the Des Moines, Iowa area. The group stayed overnight at a sister church, then worked the next day packaging nutritional meals that go overseas to 'Kids Against Hunger' outreach. They spent some time with Habitat for Humanity Restore, a program for raising funds for building new HH homes. And, the youth also found time to do some cleaning for the Rondald McDonald house. After work was completed our Disciples Youths enjoyed themselves at Adventureland before returning home. Nice job everyone!
This year’s regional assembly (October 9, 2010) took place at the Conference Center in Newton, Ia. - our own Disciple men hosted a food booth at this event.
